    Madhu Wrap (Reusable Beeswax Food Wrap) starter set of 3 in assorted sizes and prints handcrafted in herbal dyed certified organic cotton and pure natural beeswax.

    Wrap sizes:

    1. Small – 7″ x 8” ( 18 cm x 20 cm)
    2. Medium- 10.5″ x 12″ ( 27 cm x 30 cm )
    3. Large – 12″ x 14″ ( 30 cm x 35 cm)
    Description

    Use to wrap sandwiches, roti, idli, raw fruits and vegetables, herbs and leafy greens, cheese and paneer. Use it to cover a bowl, sealing with the warmth of your hands.

     

    Guide to Wrap Sizes and their use 

    1. Small – 7″ x 8” ( 18 cm x 20 cm) – Ideal for wrapping half a lemon or small fruits like half an apple, wrap a piece of cake or a couple of cookies, wrap a wedge of cheese or a piece of paneer. Can also be used for covering glasses and small bowls.

    2. Medium- 10.5″ x 12″ ( 27 cm x 30 cm ) – Ideal for wrapping sandwiches, roti, cheese, or medium size fruits like lemon. Use them for wrapping small bunches of herbs or covering medium sized bowls. Can be folded in to a small snack pouch as well.

    3. Large – 12″ x 14″ ( 30 cm x 35 cm) – Suitable for wrapping large fruits like half a watermelon or a papaya. Wrap a loaf of artisanal bread or a bunch of leafy greens. Cover a large tray or bowl. Can be folded in to a pouch for snacks or even storing veggies and fruits like a bunch of grapes.

    You will receive a set of 3 assorted prints. However if you would like specific prints, please mention a note while placing the order.

     

    Can be washed and reused as many as 100 times.

    Lab tested as safe for food contact as per IS 9845: 1998 and IS 6615 
    How to Use

    The wrap molds with the warmth of your hand and holds shape when folded over food or vessels.
    As it cannot be washed with hot water we do not recommend using it to wrap raw meat products.
    Bring freshly prepared hot foods like roti and dosa to room  temperature before wrapping.
    Store in a cool place away from heat sources.
    Wash & Care

    Gently hand wash Madhu Wrap after use with cold water. Use a mild soap if very dirty. Use a gentle brush if required.
    Do not wash with hot water and beeswax melts at 60 deg.C.
    Wipe dry with a clean towel or hang to air dry.

    End of Life
    These beeswax wraps are compostable. Once the useful life of the wrap is over, cut it in strips and dispose it in the compost bin.

    I LOVE IT

    They have been my go- to wraps for storing cut fruits and vegetables. They come in three sizes and are good to store even small veggies . A mild soap wash and they are ready to use again. They come in a range of nice soothing prints too. An Eco friendly alternative to plastic films and aluminium wraps.

    Great product

    I highly recommend this as long as you know its limitations. It is coated with beeswax and oil, so you need to be very gentle with it while handling and make sure it doesn’t touch even remotely hot things. Beeswax melts at very low temperature, at 60 degree C, so you should not try to wrap rotis off tawa. Wrap only room temperature or cold things and you won’t have a problem. These wraps cannot replace cling wrap, foil and parchment entirely but it comes in handy a lot. I use it for covering dough for resting, covering dough balls while rolling out rotis, and covering food before refrigeration (after the food has cooled down). It does feel tacky to touch and even trimmed fingernails can chip the wax coating, but I still love these. It looks very nice and you don’t feel guilty about throwing away cling film everyday. Do not crinkle it as that can damage the wax coating. Fold along existing fold lines to prolong its life. These provide a pretty good seal if you pinch together properly. It dries quickly too after wash as long as you hang it properly to dry.

    Easy-to-use natural alternative to cling wrap.

    I was touched by Brinda's handwritten note that she included along with the packaging. It feels nice to use this product, as I do not have to carry around the guilt of using use-and-throw plastic cling wrap to store my leftovers. My suggestion to the seller: Some foods contain turmeric and other ingredients that stain the wraps and do not wash off very well. I do not recommend the light colours in this case. The dark colours hold up better.
