These handkerchief sets make unique and useful gifts for the eco-conscious. Organic cotton is grown from locally-adapted varieties with use of organic sources of fertilizer and pesticides. Water consumption is also significantly lesser than conventional cotton. Natural and herbal dyeing while being safe for the skin is also safe for the planet as the dyeing process has low environmental impact and does not pollute water resources. The red color dye is extracted from the Madder (Rubia Cordfolia ) plant, and different shades are achieved with the addition of wood flower, Iron Earth, sea salt and alum. Size of Handkerchief: 13 ” x 13 ” (33 cm x 33 cm) 

Prints: Contains one solid white handkerchief, one solid madder red dyed handkerchief and one with a red print over a white base.

Hand wash cold with mild soap. Natural  dyes may bleed during the first wash so we recommend washing separately. For first wash soak the fabric in a mug of water with 2 table spoons of common salt for better fixing of the dyes.

Made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton cambric fabric these handkerchiefs are dyed and printed with patented natural and herbal dyes.
